Description

The PowerShares FTSE RAFI Developed 1000 UCITS ETF seeks to track the FTSE RAFI Developed 1000 index. The FTSE RAFI Developed 1000 index tracks the performance of the largest companies worldwide. The index selection and weighting process is based on the following four fundamental measures of firm size: book value, income, sales and dividends.
 
The ETF's TER (total expense ratio) amounts to 0.50% p.a.. The ETF replicates the performance of the underlying index by full replication (buying all the index constituents). The dividends in the ETF are distributed to the investors (Quarterly).
 
The PowerShares FTSE RAFI Developed 1000 UCITS ETF is a very small ETF with 8m Euro assets under management. The ETF was launched on 3 December 2007 and is domiciled in Ireland.

For example, if there was the following sequence of daily ETF prices: 10€, 5€, 12€, 20€, an investor would have suffered the worst loss by buying for 10€ and subsequently selling for 5€. Therefore in this case the maximum drawdown would be (5€ - 10€)/10€ = -50%.
