Flughafen Wien AG engages in the construction and operation of civil airports and related facilities. It operates through the following segments: Airport, Handling and Security Services, Retail and Properties, Malta, and Other. The Airport segment operates and maintains all movement areas and terminals, facilities involved in passenger and baggage handling, and security controls for passengers and hand luggage. The Handling and Security Services segment provides services for aircraft and passenger handling in scheduled, charter, and general aviation traffic. The Retail and Properties segment includes activities such as shopping and food and beverages, rentals, marketing of advertising space, real estate development and marketing, rental of office and cargo areas, and management of parking facilities and traffic connections. The Malta segment refers to Malta Airport and its direct investments. The Other segment is composed of services for the other operating segments of the Flughafen Wien Group, as well as external customers. The company was founded in 1938 and is headquartered in Schwechat, Austria.
