Banca Popolare di Sondrio is the parent company of a broad-based banking group. The Group includes the subsidiaries Banca Popolare di Sondrio (SUISSE) SA in Lugano (Switzerland), Factorit S.p.A. in Milan, which is active in factoring and related services, BNT Banca S.p.A. in Sondrio, which specialises in the agricultural and food sector as well as in services for households and private individuals, the real estate company Sinergia Seconda S.r.l. in Milan and Popso Covered Bond S.r.l. in Conegliano, which is involved in the issue of mortgage bonds. Pirovano Stelvio S.p.A., which owns a modern hotel complex on the Stelvio Pass, is emphasised among the shareholdings. In addition, Banca Popolare di Sondrio, which itself operates more than 500 branches primarily in northern Italy and serves over 900,000 customers, holds a stake of just under 35 per cent in the investment company ARCA.
