The company was founded by Manfred Eigen, Karsten Henco, Ulrich Aldag, Freimut Leidenberger, Heinrich Maria Schulte, Rudolf Rigler, Charles Weissmann, and Nobel Laureate on December 8, 1993 and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.
