The Kongsberg Maritime segment develops and delivers positioning, surveillance, navigation, and automation systems for merchant vessels and the offshore industry. The Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace segment supplies products and systems for command and control, weapons guidance and surveillance, communications solutions, and missiles. The Other segment consists of Kongsberg Digital, external revenues from the real estate business, corporate functions, and eliminations between the business areas. The company was founded by Poul Steenstru on March 20, 1814 and is headquartered in Kongsberg, Norway.
