The FTSE MTS Highest Rated Macro-Weighted Government Bond 5-7 index tracks eurozone’s largest and most widely traded government bonds with the highest credit ratings (AA and AAA). Issuer weightings within the index are based on each country's share of eurozone GDP and adjusted by other key macroeconomic factors. The index is calculated based on mid prices of the underlying bonds. Time to maturity: 5-7 years.

For example, if there was the following sequence of daily ETF prices: 10€, 5€, 12€, 20€, an investor would have suffered the worst loss by buying for 10€ and subsequently selling for 5€. Therefore in this case the maximum drawdown would be (5€ - 10€)/10€ = -50%.
