It operates through the Hydrocarbons and Green Energy segments. The Hydrocarbons segment designs and constructs plant, principally for the natural gas chain, designs and constructs chemical and petrochemical industry plant for the production, in particular, of polyethylene and polypropylene, ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol, purified terephthalic acid, ammonia, urea, and fertilizers. The Green Energy segment engages in green acceleration initiatives managed by NextChem and its subsidiaries, focused particularly on the circular economy. The company was founded on October 9, 2003 and is headquartered in Milan, Italy.
