Banco BPM SpA opera come banca commerciale nazionale. È impegnata nella fornitura di servizi di private e corporate banking, prestiti, e-banking e servizi di investimento. L'azienda opera attraverso i seguenti segmenti: Retail, Institutional, Private, Corporate, Investment Banking, Insurance, Strategic Partnerships, Finance e Corporate Centre. Il segmento Retail offre la gestione e la commercializzazione di servizi o prodotti bancari e finanziari e l'intermediazione di prestiti a clienti privati e piccole imprese. Il segmento Institutional comprende la gestione e la commercializzazione di servizi o prodotti bancari e finanziari e l'intermediazione di prestiti a enti e istituzioni (OICR, SICAV, compagnie di assicurazione, fondi pensione e fondazioni bancarie). Il segmento Privati si concentra sulla gestione e la commercializzazione di servizi o prodotti bancari e finanziari e sull'intermediazione di prestiti a clienti privati con patrimonio. Il segmento Corporate si occupa della gestione e della commercializzazione di servizi o prodotti bancari e finanziari e dell'intermediazione di prestiti a imprese di medie e grandi dimensioni. Il segmento Investment Banking comprende la ricerca di soluzioni per la gestione efficiente delle attività e delle passività dei clienti, al fine di ridurre i loro rischi finanziari. Il settore Assicurazioni fornisce il contributo delle partecipazioni detenute in Vera Vita, Vera Assicurazioni, Banco BPM Vita e Banco BPM Assicurazioni. Il settore Partnership strategiche offre il contributo delle quote detenute in Agos Ducato, Alba Leasing, SelmaBipiemme Leasing, Gardant Liberty Servicing, Anima Holding e Numia Group. Il settore Finanza comprende le attività relative al portafoglio titoli di proprietà, alla tesoreria, all'asset and liability Management del gruppo e allo stock di emissioni obbligazionarie collocate sui mercati istituzionali. Il segmento Corporate Centre comprende le attività relative al business del leasing, alle partecipazioni non allocate in partnership strategiche e alle società operanti nel settore immobiliare. La società è stata fondata il 12 dicembre 1865 e ha sede a Verona, Italia.
