Nexans SA ontwerpt en produceert kabelsystemen en -diensten. De onderneming is actief in de volgende segmenten: Stroomopwekking en -transmissie, Stroomdistributie, Toepassingen, Telecom en Data, en Industrie en Oplossingen. Het segment Power Generation and Transmission levert hoogspanningskabels en diensten voor de aansluiting van offshore windmolenparken op land, korte of lange afstand en transnationale land- en onderzeese interconnectieprojecten. Het segment Stroomdistributie biedt kabels en elektrische accessoires en distribueert stroom via bovengrondse en ondergrondse kabels. Het segment Gebruik richt zich op het gebruik van elektriciteit in woningen, infrastructuren, industrie, handel, datacenters en e-mobiliteit eindmarkten. Het segment Telecom en Data ontwerpt, produceert en verkoopt koper- en glasvezelnetwerkinfrastructuur via plug-and-play bekabeling en verbindingsoplossingen voor privénetwerken en speciale kabels voor datatransmissie. Het segment Industrie en Oplossingen ondersteunt OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers) en EPC-spelers (Engineering Procurement and Construction) bij internationale projecten. Het bedrijf is opgericht op 7 januari 1994 en heeft zijn hoofdkantoor in Courbevoie, Frankrijk.
