BWX Technologies, Inc. houdt zich bezig met het leveren van nucleaire componenten en producten. Het is actief via de segmenten Government Operations en Commercial Operations. Het segment Government Operations produceert nucleaire reactoren voor de marine, inclusief de bijbehorende nucleaire brandstof, voor het U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program voor gebruik in onderzeeërs en vliegdekschepen. Het segment Commercial Operations fabriceert commerciële nucleaire stoomgeneratoren, splijtstof, splijtstofverwerkingssystemen, drukvaten, reactordelen, warmtewisselaars, gereedschapsleveringssystemen en andere hulpapparatuur, waaronder containers voor de opslag van verbruikte splijtstof en ander hoogradioactief afval en levert nucleair materiaal en nauwkeurig bewerkte componenten voor klanten van nucleaire nutsbedrijven. Het bedrijf werd in 1867 opgericht door Stephen Wilcox en George Babcock en heeft zijn hoofdkantoor in Lynchburg, VA.
