ORLEN SA houdt zich bezig met de productie en distributie van raffinageproducten, elektriciteit, petrochemische producten en aardgas. De producten van het bedrijf omvatten vliegtuigbrandstof, scheepsbrandstof, verwarmings- en technologische brandstoffen, petrochemische producten, aardgas, asfalt, oplosmiddelen en paraffines, oliën, desinfectievloeistoffen, vloeibaar gas, zout en aanverwante producten. Het bedrijf is actief via de volgende bedrijfssegmenten: Raffinage, Petrochemie, Energie, Detailhandel en Mijnbouw. Het segment Raffinage houdt zich bezig met de verwerking van raffinageproducten en olieproductie. Het segment Petrochemie omvat de productie en verkoop van petrochemicaliën en chemicaliën. Het segment Energie heeft betrekking op de distributie van elektriciteit en warmte en de handel in elektriciteit. Het segment Retail richt zich op benzinestations en de activiteiten van de RUCH groep. De activiteiten van het segment Mijnbouw omvatten de exploratie en winning van minerale grondstoffen. Het bedrijf is opgericht op 7 september 1999 en heeft zijn hoofdkantoor in Plock, Polen.
