What is an inactive ETF?An ETF, which was liquidated by the fund company or merged with another ETF is identified in the justETF system as “Inactive ETF”. For an inactive ETF, you will not receive any current quotes from the liquidation or merger date onwards.
Delete a position at fund closure (Liquidation) or rebook a position in case of fund merger (Merger) to the new ISIN.
If there is an inactive ETF in your portfolio, you will receive the warning “Your portfolio contains an inactive ETF”.
Fund closure: Assistant for fund liquidationClick on the warning “Your portfolio contains an inactive ETF”. You will thus open the assistant for fund closures. Check the derecognition date saved (“Trade date”) or specify the same, if required.
Subsequently a sell transaction of this position is automatically booked by the system at the trade date and sell amount is credited to your virtual cash balance.
