Portfolio monitoring with investment limits
In portfolio planning, you have decided on your asset allocation. In reality, it is usually impossible to implement the strategic asset allocation exactly. Rounding of shares to integers and price fluctuations often lead to deviations from the strategic asset allocation right away.Does it matter? It sure does! It is important to stay as close to the planned allocation as possible, as the allocation determines the overall risk of your portfolio. In the portfolio monitoring, you define bandwidths on asset class or ETF level. If your limit is violated, you will be informed via email.
Target weight of a position
The target value represents the weight that an asset class or ETF has based on your strategic asset allocation. Is your portfolio not at its target weight? In a portfolio rebalancing, all necessary purchase and sale transactions are calculated in order to restore target weight in your portfolio. This way you can conveniently return to your strategic asset allocation. Target weight is displayed in grey.Current weight of a position
The actual weight of an asset class or ETF at present time is labelled with "current weight". If the current weight is within the defined investment monitoring range, the percentage is displayed in green. The percentage turns red when an investment limit is violated.
Adjusting investment limits
By default, a bandwidth of +/- 5 percentage points is defined when creating a new portfolio. The deviation you are willing to accept differs from default settings? You can customise the bandwidth by dragging the grey bars.
Setting a standard range
Adjust default bandwidth by settings an individual range for all asset classes or ETFs simultaneously. To do this, click on “Set standard range”.Drag the grey bar to adjust the standard range. Always confirm your adjustments with "Save changes". The bandwidths in the graph above are dynamically updated.

Activate or deactivate e-mail alerts
Your portfolio monitoring system informs you by e-mail each trading day at 9 am (GMT) if an investment limit is violated. Click on "ON" or "OFF" to enable or disable alert e-mails.
If an investment limit is violated, you will also receive a warning directly after login on the Portfolio Overview.
