Korea Electric Power Corp. engages in the development of electric power resources. It operates through the following divisions: Electricity Sales, Nuclear Power, Thermal Power Generation, and Other. The Electricity Sales division sells the electricity consumed nationwide, excluding the sales areas of regional power operators. The Nuclear Power division relates to Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. The Thermal Power Generation division is involved in Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd., Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd., Korea Western Power Co., Ltd., Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd., and Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd. The Other division includes power plant design, power facility maintenance, power ICT services, nuclear fuel processing, overseas power business, and related investment projects. The company was founded on July 1, 1961 and is headquartered in Naju-si, South Korea.
