Het segment Gasdistributie & Opslag bestaat uit activiteiten van aardgasnutsbedrijven, met als kern Enbridge gas, dat residentiële, commerciële en industriële klanten bedient. Het omvat ook aardgasdistributieactiviteiten in Quebec en een investering in Noverco, dat een meerderheidsbelang heeft in een dochteronderneming die zich bezighoudt met distributie en energietransport, voornamelijk in Quebec. Het segment Gastransport & Midstream bestaat uit investeringen in aardgaspijpleidingen, verwerkings- en groene energieprojecten, de grondstofmarketingactiviteiten van de onderneming en internationale activiteiten. Het segment Renewable Power Generation bestaat voornamelijk uit investeringen in wind- en zonne-energie, geothermische energie, warmteterugwinning en transmissie. Het segment Energy Services bestaat uit activiteiten in Canada en de Verenigde Staten, waaronder logistieke diensten, bevoorradingsdiensten voor raffinaderijen en de volumeverbintenissen van de onderneming op verschillende pijpleidingsystemen. Het bedrijf is opgericht op 30 april 1949 en heeft zijn hoofdkantoor in Calgary, Canada.
