Het segment Testen en Inspectie omvat de bedrijfsonderdelen Industrieën en Milieu, Natuurlijke Hulpbronnen, Connectiviteit en Producten, en Gezondheid en Voeding. Het segment Certificering richt zich op één business line: Business Assurance (BA): eindmarkten zijn managementsysteemcertificering, aangepaste audits, consultancy en academie. Het bedrijf is opgericht in 1878 en het hoofdkantoor is gevestigd in Genève, Zwitserland.
