Opera attraverso i seguenti segmenti: Aeronautica, Dinamica, Sorveglianza, Kockums, Combitech e Corporate. Il segmento Aeronautica comprende lo sviluppo avanzato di tecnologie per l'aviazione militare e civile. Il segmento Dynamics offre prodotti che comprendono armi da combattimento terrestri, sistemi missilistici, siluri, veicoli subacquei senza equipaggio e sistemi di gestione della firma. Il segmento Surveillance fornisce soluzioni efficienti per la sicurezza e la protezione, per la sorveglianza e il supporto decisionale e per il rilevamento e la protezione dalle minacce. Il segmento Kockums sviluppa, fornisce e mantiene soluzioni per ambienti navali. Il segmento Combitech comprende l'aviazione, la difesa, le telecomunicazioni e altre industrie, nonché il settore pubblico. L'azienda è stata fondata il 2 aprile 1937 e ha sede a Stoccolma, in Svezia.
